A native Texan and former high school fashion design teacher, Josie is a sewist turned artist who believes handmade is better. She is known for her use of ink, warm color palettes, and chic florals. Tying back to her days as a fashion design teacher, her artwork is primarily available on fabric, but Josie has a passion for working with brands and businesses that celebrate makers, crafters, and creators of any guild. Josie’s own maker spirit is strong, which usually leads her to try her hand at new crafts. She particularly loves sewing, shoemaking, and testing her hand at resin crafting. Combining her love of design, fashion, and the handmade to encourage even one person to try their hand at a craft and feel the joy and confidence it brings is her highest work.
